One of the major tasks of housing management practitioners is to protect the interest of property owners and to foster a livable and lovable living environment. With this goal in mind, it is important to ensure sufficient coverage of insurance for their managed properties and to observe the terms and conditions of the related insurance policies so as to protect the interests of property owners. This also means practitioners in the housing management field must pay extra attention on their duties and the related code of practice. 

In doing so, there are pitfalls that could render the insurance policies invalid and cause serious consequences to the building owners. There are cases even seemingly normal services provide by housing management practitioners may invite potential and unnecessary litigation issues.
